dbappend() problem on Windows7 shared drive.

Hi, In an attempt to find the cause of our index corruptions we did tests today. Below is our little test program. When your data is on a Windows 7 station, the APPEND isn't working correctly! Even worse, you never encounter a NETERR(), but not all the records are added. This is a real problem and a...

Re: RESTOREDEFAULTSBUTTON IN DCBROWSE

Hi Miguel,

With the suggestion of Roger, you could place this in the EVAL clause of DCREAD. This way you won't need a button.

Re: dcget keyblock

Hi Zdeno, It will be very difficult to implement this. I think it can't be added to the KEYBLOCK. What in the following case: Enter 5 characters fast and stop typing. You expect that the keyblock isn't avaluated, because you typed fast. The moment you stop the typing, the KEYBLOCK isn't called anymo...

Re: Browse and Ownerdraw

Hi,

Maybe you didn't notice but the first post in this thread contains the code. ;)

See also the thread 'Color within DCBROWSE'. This contains some modified source files for eXPress++.

dcbrowse usevisualstyle

Hi,

With the usevisualstyle in dcbrowse we have a better look. However, customers are asking to have the selected row in another color. The standard blue is rather light.

Can this be changed, without modifying all my browses or without the OWNERDRAW possibilities?

Re: fast record selecting

Hi,

Sometimes I create a temporary index when creating reports. This can be done in a different thread, while the user is entering the values he/she wants. This way when the report starts, it is fast.

oBrowse:refreshall()

Hi, Is there something changed in oBrowse:refreshall() in one of the previous versions? Since some time we had some problems with the positioning in our database. I found that the record position is changed after a oBrowse:refreshall(). I had the following test: wtf cAlias->(recno()) oBrowse:refresh...

Re: Highlighting of text with string

Hi Rick, With the new possibilities of DCBROWSE it will be easy to implement this. When you have your array returned of wildsearch, use dc_setscopearray(aArray) and show the browse. In the new dcbrowse there is an ownerdraw functionality, which you can use to display the text of the search in a diff...

Re: Color within DCBROWSE

Hi Rick,

Roger has been working on this. He added this possibility to the dcbrowse class. I expect that it will be released soon. While testing there was something with the zebra stripes from Jack Duijf.

Re: Using 'Protect' in a Browse

Hi,

Protecting a cell from editing can be done the following way:

Code: Select all

DCBROWSECOL ELEMENT 1  HEADER "Num"  PARENT oBrowse WIDTH 4 ;
         EDITOR {|| NIL }
