The Surveillance State

The Surveillance State

The Orwellian story, 1984, suggested that a state which perfected its control over its people, using cameras everywhere, would lead to a dystopian outcome of total subjectivation and the inability of the people to know what is truth and what are lies.

I suggest that we are witnessing just the opposite consequence at this very moment in time. Yesterday, cameras in Minneapolis told the truth of the tragedy while the government tried to promulgate an elaborate lie. This is why police have been mandated to wear body cameras and ICE have not.

Ring cameras in homes are capturing outside events and are used in courts to tell the truth to judges and juries about what really occurred.
Cameras in cars and on streets are truth tellers not liars.

YouTube channels like Audit the Audit and The Civil Rights Lawyer show actual videos that protect the rights of citizens.

Tesla’s FSD (Full Self Driving) is proving to be a level 4 miracle which is possible because it was trained on billions of driven miles, captured on Tesla’s cameras, over 10 years of driving.

If humans are to survive and prosper in a world run by governments that use every kind of lie to control us, we should demand more cameras.

The truth is what we see, not what we hear.

With AI, not so much..

Dark times happening with worse to come..

Glad I'm closer to the end than the beginning..

When I began my journey, the US was a shining light in the world.. As i get closer to the end of the journey, the US is just another "shithole dictatorship" with a wanna-be fuhrer driving the world into a ditch..

It's simply unbelievable that this is the same country that had Barack Obama as its president. It's simply unbelievable that someone who behaves like this is allowed to be president of the USA. It's simply unbelievable that the country that once stood for freedom like no other in the world now treats people, opinions, and values this way.

I'm afraid of the USA.
Best regards,
Tom

I'm afraid of the USA.
You have good reason to be afraid.

About 3 decades ago, I sensed a change in American politics, when they created the FOX NEWS channel.
It became more and more obvious that the government needed a propaganda tool.

Over the years, I realized that there is nothing special about Americans or American democracy.

We are perfectly capable of murdering millions of innocent people.

For the sake of the world, let us hope that the checks and balances envisioned by the American founding fathers 250 years ago will prevail so that this horrible chapter in American history may come to an end.

I wrote this to an internet friend of mine in distress over current events..

TL;DR: the only thing that I see stopping this march down the dark path is if a small number of republican politicians decide it's a few bridges to far and declare as independents, removing johnson as speaker, defunding ICE, stopping legislation in it's tracks, and impeaching some cabinet members. They'll have to have the courage to face the death threat to them and their families. more details below.

Glad you're staying despite the worsening reality. This march towards a dictatorship/fascism will continue until it's stopped.. I don't know what will stop it.. Whether it be the courts, the few republican politicians (congress and senate) who finally realize they will go down in history as enabling this and decide to go independent for the time being. The elections if they allow them to happen.
Germans in the mid thirties didn't know how it was going to go forward either. Hitler didn't have any legal powerful opposition by then. We only have a little (courts) for now. I'm not placing much hope in general elections as I think they'll be handled so as to not threaten the red choke hold on power.
It'll be just a few politicians,. those politicians who are willing to risk death threats, actually put there lives on the line.. They didn't sign up for this... They really didn't give a shit about he people of the country. They signed up to have power. Now, they're the last dog in the dog sled, walking through all the shit the dogs in front of them are dropping on the world order. They will begin to understand what their grandchildren will read about them in the history books. They'll stand up and decide to serve of the rest of their term as independents.
It won't be protests, they're hoping for protests to declare martial law and murder more of us. They'll kill 100 people in a blue town and then use those 100 deaths to justify bringing in the troops.
If the country gets of out this, it'll be by the skin of our teeth as they say.. There is more opposition here than in mid-thirties in Germany. But the opposition won't mean much unless we can control or at least neutralize one of the branches of government.
They have established fascist control of government. They have established control over enough of the media to continue to play the part of the emperor without clothes.

Dark times are here..
Darker tines are next.
