This sounds like a record locking issue in windows. Remember the version that came out after W2000. I had problems. I now recommend all my clients stay away from anything beyond XP. I have heard to many complaints on W7 & W8. Now I hear W10 will not come with Explorer. This may just be the beginning of issues.
