Forum server problems

#1 Post by rdonnay »

The server that supports this forum and some other websites had a failure.
2 days of postings have been lost.

That server is still out for repair.
I have temporarily setup a notebook computer to run the webboard and websites.
Hopefully, this will suffice for a few days (or weeks).
The eXpress train is coming - and it has more cars.

I ran a repair on all of the MySQL files.
Hopefully, this will resolve these SQL errors.

I think I understand why this happened.
The last backup was done without shutting down MySql first.

I restored everything from the backup.
I need a backup system that is a little more robust.
