In Germany, this film had the terrible title "... year 2022 ... those who want to survive". There was a (not very successful) punk band in Germany called "Soilent Green" in the eighties, and there still is a metal band in the U.S. with this name. Lots of people know what Soylent Green means.
I still remember when I saw that movie for the first time, and this was more than 40 years ago. I still remember what it did to me when I first heard the sentence "Soylent Green is human flesh!".
I watched the movie again three or four years ago. It still works. Excellent film.
