rm chart

#1 Post by bobvolz »

Hi: I have some users who have now decided to use some of the graphic functions I created several years
ago using RMCHART. I can successfully register the OCX from a CMD prompt as an Administrator but when I try to run the function the system
crashes because it cannot create the activex control.

These are WIN 10 machines. I never had any issues with Win 7.

Is there some other setting that needs to be changed.

Hi Bob,

We have it installed on almost all client systems and never had any problem with it up to now.

We install the complete rmchart setup. During the setup you can disable any icons on the desktop. I even didn't knew there is a separate OCX for it. If you need it, I can send you the setup we always use since 2012.
Best regards,

Chris.

We just register the component (manifest-driven), no problems at any client sites. All kinds of OSes in use.

But we remove all rmcharts step by step and replace them with cool JavaScript charts embedded in HTML-documents, shown using the XbpHtmlViewer2.
Best regards,
Tom
