Copy to ...sdf

#1 Post by omni »

Roger,

We have had instances when using the copy to... sdf it giving an operating system error. This is for the most part from our edi programs that create batch files, but there are others. One user today, who has used edi for 10 years, got this error and we could not copy any files type sdf in xdot either. We finally changed his edi to use the fwrite instead and it was fine.

Do you have any idea what would cause this? I tried for an hour to get any file to copy and always received that message. Do you recommend not using that any longer and change whatever ones are remaining?

Thanks
Fred

Copy to .. SDF has always had a problem in Xbase++, this is why I never use it.

There appears to be a problem with the SDFDBE under some circumstances.

If you already wrote a replacement using FWrite() then I suggest that you always use that replacement.
