Pbuild Error

#1 Post by omni »

Roger,

On occasions, started this week. when pbuilding getting an error on the temp file in ...user/temp folder on c-drive, says returned error 2. This happens in the middle of the day, after compiling multiple time, or sometimes first thing in the morning. Found the only solution is to reboot.
Now its occurring on other sites with other pc's or servers. Never seen this before.

Does not do this on 2.0, just 1.9 alaska. Appears to be an Alaska issue(?).

Any thoughts?

What do you have your SET TEMP= environment variable set to?

Possibly it should not be a sub-folder in your user folder.

Try SET TEMP=C:\temp

Make sure that C:\temp exists.

start in CMD Box and look if there are more Information.
e.g.
"module not found" errors
may have to do with PDR 6775 (aimplib.exe)

Hi, Fred.

As Jimmy tried to say: There is a problem with AIMPLIB.EXE and XPPFILT.EXE from 1.9 with Windows 10 and recent updates. This problem does not always occur, but sometimes. It may have to do with PRG size, symbol count and stuff. The workaround is to replace the both EXEs in your 1.9-BIN-folder with those from 2.0. They seem to be compatible. This is the suggestion from Alaska. It works well at my place.
Best regards,
Tom

An update on this, just FYI.

This issue and other issues, including locking up completely doing nothing 1 to 2 times per week and McAfee telling me my exe's that are on the server that were created have viruses (nope, they do not), were resoived (apparently) by turning off mcafee completely. its been two weeks and none of these issues has occurred.

I am on windows 10 and from what I have read their protection is suffficient in most cases...
