Alaska Newsgroup and order processing..

#1 Post by bwolfsohn »

Has anyone been able to get into the alaska newsgroup in the last couple of days ?? I keep getting "482 authorization required" messages...

I also put in my order for the 2.0 upgrade on sunday, and it hasn't been processed yet..

In thunderbird I appear to be able to access the newsgroup. I think I only download the headers initially then the message when selected so I think it is accessing.

Problem solved...

When i upgraded to 2.0, i also changed my password on the alaska website. that changed it for the newsgroup also...

Now, i just need to get a response from alaska telling me my order is processed so i can download 2.0

The only problem that Alaska has is, that their "continues delivery" introduced with 2.0 has a defect since a half year... :(
.. and that they do not tell us why...

That is correct. They just do not communicate well. Very frustrating.
The eXpress train is coming - and it has more cars.

Well, they finally gave me acces to the 2.0 download...

I'm on 2.00.554.

I'm still waiting to get my product key... it's been 11 days since i ordered...

the docs say you can get your product key online after you log on, but i haven't been able to find that on their website...

I get there by selection login. Then on the next page, select view licenses. That brings you to the products and license key page, which lists all your prior purchases and the new purchase with the license key. I know last fall when we purchased our copy for our 2nd programmer, the license key did not show up. After contacting support, it showed.
