Announcing release of Xb2.NET v3.6.04

#1 Post by bborzic »

Xb2.NET v3.6.04 is now available for download. Here are the major highlights for this release:
  • add support for server-side HTTP file and media streaming. Stream very large content such as music and videos directly from your Xb2.NET web server. This feature is also useful for downloading large files with pause and resume.
  • automated integration with Let's Encrypt certificate authority. Generate free SSL/TLS domain certificates. Automated renewal and installation for Xb2.NET HTTPS server.
  • other fixes and enhancements.

As always, if you have renewed your support or purchased Xb2.NET within the past 12 months then this upgrade is provided FREE of charge. Please check your email for download instructions and license keys. If you are a registered Xb2.NET user but your support period has expired, you will need to purchase an upgrade in order to use this latest version. All upgrades include 12 months free support.

Xb2.NET is a "must have" library for developing secure Internet applications with Alaska Xbase++. It provides support for low-level socket communications as well as interfaces for WebSocket, Telnet, FTP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, XML, JSON and SOAP. With Xb2.NET, it is possible to develop a native stand-alone Xbase++ web server that does not rely on any external services.

Released in 2002 and continually enhanced, Xb2.NET has matured into a robust tool that you can safely depend on for developing mission critical, client and server-side applications. Please give it a try, a fully functional demo is available.

Hi, ALL!

Can I using Xb2.NET v3.6.04, to create a system similar to running on the local computer, but running on a hosting with management from the station via the web-interface? Database system, indexed arrays, etc. should be on the hosting. The system does not use sql server and must work through the isam interface

This is a clear answer to the question:) and now there is a second question: how to do it? Are there any recommendations about this, examples?
