I am having difficulty with this.
I know I could figure it out if I have the time but I'm overworked now.
I sent Alaska support an email.
Many years ago, they published a small step-by-step tutorial on how to convert Clipper's DBU to Xbase++.
Hopefully, they can find it and send it to us.

Re: DBU
Ok, I finally built a copy of DBU16.EXE and now I see what you mean.
I'll try to figure this out.

Re: DBU
I really don't understand.
I have never used DBU because I didn't like it from the beginning.
It seems like it works right to me.

Re: Repaint static / bitmap
Jack -
I really like your sample program.
It is a good example of both the SUBCLASS feature of DC* commands and using the Graphics functions.
I have added it to my sample programs for the next release.
Thanks.
Roger

P.s. Some time ago, you mentioned a webpage to present a Express++ program.
How about that?

Re: Origin 0,0 (in)dependent from themes?
Jimmy is correct.
The 8 pixels was to compensate for the border width.
I will read the metrics for the border width too.
I'll try to get you another update today.

Re: How Can I flash the CAPTION of a DCSTATIC object ?
I would suggest another thread to do this. Compile and run the below sample. #INCLUDE "dcdialog.CH" LOCAL GetList[0], dDate := CtoD(''), oStatic, lTerminateThread := .f. @ 0,0 DCSAY 'You must enter a Date!!!' SAYSIZE 0 ; FONT '14.Arial Bold' COLOR GRA_CLR_RED OBJECT oStatic @ 2,0 DCSAY 'Enter Date' ...

Re: Constant error
I think you should be using build 254. There were several changes that fixed problems with tooltips. ftp://donnay-software.com user: subscriber password: SilverOak1999 file: exp19254.exe Install password: LoggersPond2010 If you have trouble with the FTP download try this: http://donnay-software.com/...

Re: Repaint static / bitmap
I tried that, but it makes the bitmap disappear and paints a black background.
