Re: xdot
This has happened on a number of our computers when we were switching from 1.8 to 1.9. Never could find the exact clause. Try deleting the any dclip.sys files in the path and then rebooting the computer. The dot prompt command line will come back after a few tries.

Roger,
I have just realized that you have not requested any payment for attending the conference. Have you arrived at a cost for attendees yet and do you want the payment prior to May 1?

Re: application does not respond
I installed the alaska service pack, then have installed the hotfix rollups. I do have my energy saving settingseither turned off or set to over 60 minutes. But I don't think that they are causing the problem because the freeze up occurs after 30 minutes if application is the only thing running or i...

Re: application does not respond
I have installed all the alaska service packs and rollups and have checked the resource monitor to ensure that the proper versions are being loaded. I also tried running the long process on my local computer and it failed also. I forgot to mention that we are using ADS also.

application does not respond
Our application is hanging up every since we went to 1.9. It normally happens after a period of inactivity on the computer or switching to another program for a period of time, usually after 10- 30 minutes. Our application just quits responding and doesn't give any errors. The main application windo...

Re: Windows Server 8
Turned out the problem was Norton endpoint. We had set exclusions to not scan the program directories, and files and when that didn't help we turned it off. That didn't help either. They finally uninstalled it and the program responded normally. I suppose I shouldn't be surprized that turning it off...

Re: Windows Server 8
Thanks for the replys, we are still troubleshooting the problem at the clients. We installed the software on another windows 7 computer today and that was successful. So what we are trying to look at now is what could be causeing the delay. We can execute XDOT.exe and it will launch in about 1 minut...

Re: Windows Server 8
Fred,
Did you ever figure out why your application was loading slowly on a Windows 7 workstation with a Windows 2008 server?
We have a similar issue with one of clients, although we have the same computer configurations at many other clients that is working fine.

The same problem exists in a tree menu. The scroll bar is partially hidden when the expanded menu area is larger than the window. See the tree menu in xdemo for an example.
