Re: MULTIPLE XBASE SERVICES

Hello Brian, I was strugling with same problem some time ago. In the end, i managed to have a single service, that hosted all IP addresses. In HttpHandler, i change threadsave path and file locations. These are used in the code for processing. Jack, Thanks for the suggestion... but, we already do a...

Add REG_MULTI_SZ to Registry

Tried to lookup on the old barod if this had ever been asked, but the old board didn't respond.. I'd like to add a REG_MULTI_SZ entry to a registry, but dc_regwrite() doesn't seem to handle that type of entry.. btw, this is to add a dependency on ads database server for a service, so when the machin...

Wondering if anyone here has this situation, and how they handle it.. ************************************ We run multiple instances of our online xb2net apps. We set up additional directories, and run them on different ip's. we rename the e...

Re: Problems posting new messages

Roger, I've got to tell you, i REALLY liked the old board.. And, i really didn't like the new board.. but, as i've used it and become used to it, it certainly seems to be an upgrade over the old webboard. there hasn't been enough activity to give you an opinion on searching, but for keeping up with ...

Re: Taxi stuff

Brian, While I was trying to look up the information to answer you, Roger jumped in and not only figured it out, he also knoew exactly how to prevent it from happening in the future. It surprises however, because everytime I explain something about the TLC business to Roger, he gets a funny blank l...

Taxi stuff

Bobby, did this guy work for one of your clients ?? From the NY Daily News: Wasim Khalid Cheema manipulated the meter in his yellow cab to inflate fares paid by unsuspecting passengers, authorities said. A Taxi and Limousine Commission review of trip data concluded Cheema ripped off 574 riders in a ...

Re: A Service Monitor application

Brian Wolfsohn suggested that I write a Service Monitor application that is a small shell used to load another application. This was done to try to get around the problems of not being interactive under Win3002 server. The idea is that the small app would be loaded as a service and it would constan...

Re: Making Data Safe

Roger, Tom, back onto adsserver for a moment... is encryption/decryption done at the adsserver level i.e. ads returns the data to the program and gets the data from the program unencrypted, but stores it encrypted ?? if so, that's the answer.. just require all clients that must meet the regs to use...
