I am using the Taskbar sample to control a application. Works so far, but I would like to popup a little static in the lower left corner with some infos (icons and buttons) instead of the menu. Is this possible ?

an XP license costs about 19,-, so you can use Virtualbox or VMWare player. Vor VMware there are ready to use Linux host and Windows guest appliances .

forgot to mention: without Rogers eXpress++, I would have changed the develeopment system years ago, never found something better than this. Sad that it is not available for harbour, I am shure that we would have not alle this problems.
