Re: How to change currency symbol in windows

Hi,

My PowerUtl library have functions to convert char to/from hex, char to/from bin, dec to/from hex, dec to/from bin, dec to/from byte string, but I suppose this is not an option for you. You can check Ot4xb library.

Re: Advantage Database Server For Testing

Hello,

May I ask why do you create temporary files/tables. Could you achieve your goal with temporary arrays?

Try to search on the net for free ADS download. If you don't succeed you know my email.

Re: New library PowerPar for parallel programming

Hi, I wanted to introduce my work and my achievement, that is the purpose of this heading "Announcements". If you have nothing to say regarding the topic, there is no need to discuss at all. The topic here is multi-CPU app and not one-CPU app. You don't have to agree with my work, but don't compare ...

Re: New library PowerPar for parallel programming

Hay, I am not angry and upset, I think you misunderstood. I wanted to make it clear that one-processor apps and multi-user discussion is not the topic of this thread, and not proper to put PowerPar usage in that context. I didn't mean that you are quite ignorant about parallel programming, but that ...

Re: New library PowerPar for parallel programming

Hi, Yes, I can check the load of each CPU, but that is not the point. Your system has nothing to do with PowerPar library. Your system is multi-users oriented, PowerPar is multi-process-CPUs oriented. It is not the same, but you don't understand that. As I wrote on the German Forum, you guys don't h...

Re: New library PowerPar for parallel programming

Well, do as you like and as you know. No one force you to do the other way. Anyway, PowerPar allows programmatically and explicitly multi-CPU usage in Xbase++. No other software can do that. Alaska should be proud that this can be achieved in Xbase++, despite the fact that PowerPar broke Alaska one-...

Re: New library PowerPar for parallel programming

Hi Victorio, I suggest you to download documentation, test version, and demo program for PowerPar, and try to get info you are asking for your system. Test NUMA and CPU function, and look the CPU numbers in demo program. I never used system with 48 CPUs. That article on ILX portal gives only theoret...

Re: ADS vs PG

Hi Joe, Tom. Thanks for your understanding, I appreciate that, you are great. Really, I am not frustrated or disappointed. I realized from our conversation, that Alaska's stuff don't understand what I am doing, and why. But, I don't care and keep on with that. So, what Tom asked me recently, this is...

Re: ADS vs PG

Tom wrote: We are waiting for Xbase++ 3.0 for ... I don't know. A few guys are struggling and fighting to get updates and new stuff build in. Its sad but its all true. The reason for this might be that Alaska stuff don't want to take into account the contributions of other external Xbase++ develope...

Re: ADS vs PG

German healthcare business is not the only one in the world, and certainly not the prevailing one. I don't believe its the same situation in all businesses and all countries in the world. How come that your healthcare customers use your application when it is written in an old-fashioned language whi...
