Xbase++ Roadshow

#1 Post by bwolfsohn »

From the newsgroup:
************
I got an email today from Alaska stating that the Xbase++ Roadshow has
been moved to the spring of 2011, so that they can have time to finish
the Arctica Technologies project.
They said they would make an announcement on the web site later this week.
***********

Roger,

How does this effect the possible express get-together ??

Brian -

I am not going to have a Devcon like I had 2 years ago, however I am making an open offer for anyone who wants to come out for a "focus group" kind of gathering like the one we did 4 years ago. This would be a "no charge" event that would last about 3 days. I would only ask for a small donation to help pay for the cost of a meeting room at the hotel and rental of a projector.

If we can get about 8-10 people together for this around the end of September or early October, I'll make it happen.

Well then, that's 3 of us. Bobby Drakos is coming out in September to work with me for a week. Maybe we can plan for him to arrive 1 week before our gathering and then you can stay for a few days after the gathering.

Tom -

We could possibly have a get-together in January too but the weather isn't so good in January.

Unfortunately like Tom, I too am unable to attend this soon. I am in the middle of a project implementation which has a go live date of Oct 18.

I will miss the discussion and people, but will look forward to the photos and stories.

The weather does not bother me, November in Berlin wasn't like Hawaii either, and most activities are indoors.

Hi,

This is also too short notice for me. We are moving to a new office in November, so 2010 isn't possible for me. I have a lot of things to do before and probably after our movement.
Best regards,

Chris.
