Innosetup and activeX Control installation

#1 Post by Cliff Wiernik »

I have not used Innosetup at this time. I am wondering if it would be a good tool to use to install some activeX controls needed for our application. With Win7 and now Win10 and restricted access to the windows folders, we need to do installations at an elevated command prompt and then register the com control or net assembly.

What would be the best way to accomplish the copying of the dlls and registering with the required security parameters in an automated fashion.

Some examples would be help to reduce the learning curve.
