xbase 2.0

#1 Post by BruceN »

i'm presently using xbase build 355 and express build 254. i want to try the xbase 2.0 demo (installed on a separate boot to avoid any potential conflict). what do i need to do to get express to work with 2.0?

thanks.

You would need to recompile build 254 with Xbase 2.0. Roger has provided a version compiled with Xbase 2.0 for version 259. He will also be coming out with a version 260 that does address some minor changes needed for Xbase 2.0. You also need to get 2.0 version of xb2net or sqlexpress if you use them.

Need to have everything compiled with Xbase 2.0

You don't need this. Only remove the option, that the installation should insert the environment settings in the components window, so XBase++ 2.0 can be used only with the workbench 2.0.

Here are a set of eXpress++ binaries that are compiled with Xbase++ 2.0 (released version)

Unzip the file into your \exp19\bin20 folder.
Overwrite any files that are already in that folder.
