SMS Texting API

#1 Post by rdonnay »

Is anyone using a SMS Texting service that is called from within your Xbase++ program either by HTTP or some other method?

I worked on that with you.

That technique sent them via email: number@carrier.com

Bobby Drakos wants to replace this so we don't have to know the carrier.
It means that we have to use an SMS service instead.

I'm using a german service called "SMS4.DE" (prepaid). Short messages are sent using a HttpClient/Form from Boris' xb2.net library; the HTTP-response contains protocol informations. Works perfect.

Hi Roger,

You can send SMS messages with Skype. If you are interested in this, I have some code for it. You also have to buy credits for it.
Best regards,

Chris.

Thanks for the responses.

I've been trying eztexting.com. 2.5 cents per text. Simple Http interface.
So far, so good.

Even I have been using the high quality business marketing techniques and the best results that I have seen till now are with the text messaging service for business. I would like to tell you that it is the most cost-effective option and even the smallest businesses can get effective results.

Our new business is likely to be launched in a couple of days and we would get started with the promotions as soon as it is launched. I am quite interested in utilizing the text messaging services. If you know about some good apps with bulk message options, please let me know.
