Let me just add:
It was Andreas that immediately understood what it was; bottle opener.
Anything dealing with bottles and drink...Andreas is your man!

Developer's conference
I just wanted to say that the southwest xBase developer's conference this year was well worth attending. With the release of xBase++ 2.0 and the new workbench/debugger, things are looking promising. The sessions this year were really informative. Even Roger's xBase for newbies session taught me a fe...

Re: McAfee and Trojan
Hi Roger, The previous version of Norton Antivirus did this and several of my clients called complaining that the software no longer worked. It would list anything I wrote with xBase as having a trojan and erase it and quarantine it as soon as I ran it. Luckily, Norton has a place where you can give...

Re: How can I find out whether the file or database
Hello Eugene,
Look up the function 'Used()' in the Alaska documentation.
Calling Used(<Alias Name>) will return TRUE if the database is open and FALSE if it is not.
Good luck!

Hey Fred,
Sorry we missed you at the piano.
Look at Rogers DC_SetCpu() function.
This might be just the thing you need.
Next conference, no excuses; everybody sings.

Re: Southwest Xbase++/Fox Conference Report
Hey Brian, Hey Cliff, There were some late night sessions music wise, so we had fun. Roger was even doing the twist one night...with a bad back no less! But I have to say that I learned more this year than at any other conference. And there are some things I can incorporate into my code right now. T...

Re: dc_printfile problem blowing out printers
Hey Bruce,
Just a quick question; if you're creating same file name everytime, do you first delete the file already there or simply write over it?

Re: Task of color of the chosen field in DCBROWSE DCBROWSECO
Hi Chris, During the height of the hurricane which was 8:00 PM Monday evening, my family and I ventured outside of our home to see how bad it was. Basically, all we had was a few raindrops and some wind. Ten miles in either direction there was chaos, flooding and power outages; but in our neighborrh...

Re: Task of color of the chosen field in DCBROWSE DCBROWSECO
Eugene, Add these parameters to your PRESENTATION Clause in DCBROWSE: { XBP_PP_COL_DA_HILITE_FGCLR, GRA_CLR_WHITE },; /// Cell Highlighted FG { XBP_PP_COL_DA_HILITE_BGCLR, GRA_CLR_BLUE },; /// Cell Highlighted BG You can of course change the color GRA_CLR_WHITE and GRA_CLR_BLUE to anything you want....
