Re: SqlQuery.exe (a new database query tool)
Roger has done an excellent job writing this tool. I am using it for MS-SQL Server, ADS Dictionary and ADS free connections. I use the stand alone SqlQuery.exe daily for routine work. Saving queries either as views or .sql files for later retrieval is a one of the features I like the most. I have al...

Re: xBase++ having trouble finding files on startup, Win 64b
I received a reply back from Alaska support: Mr Covington, Thank you for contacting Alaska Technical Support. From your description I would assume the issue is not strictly related to Xbase++. First it is only 2 of many machines. Because the same code (and Xbase++ version) runs on all machines a def...

xBase++ having trouble finding files on startup, Win 64bit
I am having problems with my xBase++ application finding files on startup. This is only happening on a few machines out of 50. It seems to be doing this on Windows 7 Profession 64bit and Windows 10 - 64bit. On the Win7 machines, I replaced the 64bit OS with 32bit versions and that solved the problem...

Re: Potential 2017 Mid September Express Conference-Idaho, U
Roger, Cliff,
I will be attending in September. I am still not sure if my other programmer will be coming or not. I will get you a commitment soon.

Re: Looking for a xBase++ programmer
Excellent advice Roger.
"To me, work ethic is everything. Skill is secondary. It's all about responsibility."
I will put this advice to work at the top of my interviews with candidates. This is SO true.

Re: Looking for a xBase++ programmer
At least with VFP programmer, I would have a good base skill level to move them towards xBase++. At or near retirement age is a concern, but it's been my experience that a young programmer is likely to learn, add new skills to his resume and quit. It's a double edge sword. The programmer you hired w...

Looking for a xBase++ programmer
Hello everyone, I am looking a xBase++ programmer. I suspect if I require xBase++ experience, I would not get many applicants. I am wondering what language is similar to xBase++ that I could include that would give me some base programming skill that will allow me to teach a person xBase++ and expre...

Re: DCBROWSE highlight
This is an excellent, very clean solution and one I have been looking for. One minor change in the FOR loop made this work for me: @ DCBROWSE .. ITEMMARKED {|a,b,o|sethilitecolor(o)} STATIC FUNCTION setHiliteColor( oBrowse ) LOCAL oColumn := oBrowse:GetColumn(1), i oColumn:dataArea:setcellHiliteColo...
