Re: Blocks on SMTP servers
Servus Diego. I am using Outlook via office automation. I think Mr. Donnay provided working example in express\Samples\Outlook You might add and expand usecase for silent sending (parameters) , allowing edit, signatures, message templatest, etc. Can't say it crashes a lot. All you might need to chec...

Re: What is Sqlquery and Xdot?
Yes, those are tools made by Mr. Donnay. I think there was even source code available somewhere. It does enable tighter integration with SQL aspects into existing xbase programs. ADS was prime target for this toolset. Sqlquery is not replacement for suites like dBeaver , heidiSql or Sql Server manag...

Re: Communication between remote applications
I do respect that sysadmin stance. If you do anything with that kind , security is basic need. A VPN is good start if possible to secure communication to that remote machine. Also: FTP (regular one, not FTPs which is entirely different protocol and you probably use) is inherently old and insecure. T...

Re: Communication between remote applications
Open xb2net samples directory. Postweb.prg is good example: you post some data and get some from webserve.prg Like you described you can send some file in base64 encoded, some array, variable then wait for server processing and return in http stream. you need to open firewall and allow webserve to r...

Re: Spreadsheet options
Libreoffice will absolutely open such files. Compatiblity is kinda ok-ish as long it is more basic spreadsheet but you might run into issues with files that do a lot of advanced formulas and macros - forget them. libreoffice has also options to run as "service" and do various conversions/operations ...

Re: Which version of Postgresql works on windows 7
hi Last one is release 10. https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows/ It will work with SqlExpress without problem , just make sure machine is on UPS so no power loss happens (data corruption). And under no circumstances you should expose such machine on public IP address as it will be easy prey t...

Re: How can I print an XML or HTML document
Would do for html, but not xml unless xml has embedded link to xlst and default browser would allow transformation. For xml you need to convert it into table of sort with xlst (style sheet definition) to get html and then print it. You can of course do that manually too. https://www.w3schools.com/xm...

Re: ZAP and PACK command for DBF files - error Win 11
Slavko, we all say the same. Learned that long ago the hard way on multi socket Citrix system - xbase only runs on single core of multi core processors and does not provide anything to expand processing across multiple cores within single process. They had some multi core experiment in 1.6 but it wa...

Re: ZAP and PACK command for DBF files - error Win 11
If I remember correctly - Victorio there is setting in xbase that controls how much of that 3GB accessible RAM is used for different things by compiled exe and they left well below 1.5GB for usual variables. I remember seeing it and it splits memory for variables, buffers, stack and such, but I am n...
